How To Use The Fight Generator

To use the 'Who Would Win In a Fight Generator', start by choosing two combatants from the dropdown lists presented. Next, select a value from the quantity menu on the right of your fighter selection. I've defaulted this to 1, but you can change them to run whatever hypothetical you'd like. Next, select the 'Battle' button and an epic fight will rage behind the scenes and we'll present you with the victor.

If you'd like to leave things to fate, select the 'Random Pair' button to get a randomly generated matchup. Finally, take note of the toggle that allows you to include fantasy fighters. With this option turned on, fights will include powerful creatures from fantasy, some of whom you can find in the Fantasy Brawls roster.

    How Are Animal Stats Determined?

Animals in the generator are assigned stats based on their real life characteristics. Frequent readers of Fantasy Brawls already know that we extensively study all sorts of creatures, both real and fantasy. We've taken their lore, feats of strength, durability, and fighting prowess into account and assigned each one of them 4 stats.

    1. Power

    2. Speed

    3. Durability

    4. Agility

In most cases, real animals have significantly less power than fantasy ones. For example, a fully grown silverback gorilla has an impressive power rating of 88. But this pales in comparison to that of a Djinn with a 160 power rating.

    The Role Of Each Stat

    • Power increases raw damage potential and sets the baseline threat.
    • Durability reduces incoming damage by acting as defensive weight in the score.
    • Speed improves engagement tempo and chance to land first or follow up.
    • Agility improves hit quality and evasion against slower or clumsier foes.

    From Stats To Combat Score

The simulator builds a composite rating for each fighter using a balanced blend of offense and defense. Offense scales with Power, then gets a modest lift from Speed and Agility. Defense scales with Durability, then gets a small help from Agility for evasive survival.

Conceptually, each side receives a number like this: Score = Offense × Offense Boost + Defense × Defense Boost

How Does Party Size Factor In?

Choosing the party size a combatant is bringing to the battle can drastically change the outcome of a fight. For example, a lone Coyote gets mauled instantly by a Hyena. But a group of 5 can probably topple the laughing assassin. For this generator, I increase the power output (the fighter's attack stat) by 24% for each party member that joins the brawl. I chose not to increase attack power by a multiple equal to the party number as realistically these animals are not coordinating perfect attacks all at once. There are no synchronized bites, claw swipes, or tackles.

More Fantasy and Animal Themed Content Await!

This animal themed fantasy battle generator is but one of many awesome tools found here at Fantasy Brawls. If you liked it, you'll enjoy the other content on this site. If you're still itching for more animal matchups, check out the high flying battle between the griffin and dragon. Once you're done there, head back down to earth to find out who wins in Porcupine vs Pangolin. Finally, if you want to play out any of these battle scenarios yourself, consider giving Fantasy Brawls - The Online Game a spin. It's a free, online, turn based fighting game that lets you duke it out with some of the greatest creatures in both reality and fiction.

But the fun doesn't stop there! Fantasy Brawls also has monster taming elements. That's right. You can tame your favorite brawlers, level them up, and use this against belt masters. Similar to gyms in the Pokemon series, these belt masters grant you a belt upon defeat. Beating them in battle not only grants you tons of XP, but access to even more powerful brawlers like the legendary Glaxxen.
