Fantasy Brawls, The Online Game is a free-to-play PvP and single player game that allows you to play some of the great hypothetical matchups the human mind has ever conjured up. You can play as a Komodo Dragon and fight a Giant Squid or have a Spinosaurus take on Godzilla. The possibilities are nearly endless!
Each character is featured in beautiful pixel art and based on a real life animal, character from popular fiction, or an original Fantasy Brawls exclusive like Trishot the cyborg, bipedal Triceratops.
For the foreseeable future, Fantasy Brawls is completely free and playable at fantasybrawls.com, we host and maintain all within this site. So, you don't need to download any software, play it through Steam or anywhere else for now. I do have plans for a possible console port or a standalone desktop app but that'll be further down the line.
I decided to build this game within a website because - as a millennial, I grew up playing monster taming online games like Medabots and Neopets. These games were super cool to me because they were 1. free and 2. completely playable within a website. Being accessible to anybody with a browser will allow those of modest means the ability to enjoy a top tier game without shelling out a ridiculous amount of money.
Games and consoles, like most these now-a-days are extremely overpriced. I recently paid nearly $100 for a copy of Dragon Ball Sparking on PS5. The base game was around $69 and all the add-ons my son wanted quickly jacked the price up.
Fantasy Brawls can be enjoyed solo or with friends. You can play single player mode against my AI for free and without signing up. However, if you want to play PvP you will need to register for an account. Registration is quick, easy, and most importantly free.
I don't currently have a chat function but I do plan to add it in a future release. Trash talk makes games much more fun but we all know there are some real creeps out there in this big beautiful internet so I don't want to open that up until I am sure I can keep my precious players safe!
NO! I hate pay-to-win games and would never make one. Hooking someone in with existing gameplay only to require them to continually pay money to remain competitive is gross to me. I understand we all need to make money but taking advantage of or manipulating people is not something I'm willing to do.
If I ever decide to charge for this game, it will be a one-time fee like back in the good 'ol days. The only way to gain an advantage in Fantasy Brawls is to practice and master the gameplay mechanics.
Yes! I plan on hosting tons of events with the first one being the 'Beat the Developer' challenge. During this matchup I'll be battling a host of contestants and those who somehow manage to beat me will win prizes ranging from Robux to Gift Cards and other goodies.
This challenge was inspired by the Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist Kingdom arc in which Pegasus, the creator of Duel Monsters, dueled against challengers like Seto Kaiba and Yugi Moto.
I am always adding new characters, content, tools and other cool things to Fantasy Brawls. It's one of the best sites I've ever built and each moment I spend building and sharing brings me a scary amount of joy. If you're ready to take on the challenge and have fun smashing opponents, head over to Fantasy Brawls - The Online Game.
